We are committed to achieving the highest possible standards of Health, Safety and Environmental Performance across the company

We are committed to everyone going home safely at the end of every day and look to continually improve our health and safety culture.

To ensure we fulfil our commitments to our policies and procedures, we have our own dedicated HSEQ department to carry out audits and inspections, regular on-site and office-based performance reviews, and work closely with our construction teams to offer advice and guidance on best practices within the industry.

We focus on both safe and unsafe acts and incorporate leadership along with workplace observations and discussions to facilitate the necessary changes in our culture.

Our ISO Certifications

We have been awarded three different ISO certifications by Alcumus Isoqar, one of the most recognised and respected UKAS-accredited certification bodies.
Collins Earthworks, Collins Earthworks Transport, EnviroTrac, Collins Demolition and Collins Training have all been awarded the following certifications:

ISO 9001:2015 (Quality)
ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental)
ISO 45001:2018 (Health & Safety)

Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality matters are integral to our procedures.
We have established an Integrated Management System (IMS), the purpose of which is to ensure that we:

  • Satisfy our customers by supplying products and services that meet their requirements
  • Prevent accidents and incidents of work-related ill-health
  • Minimise the impact that our activities have on the environment.

The system is designed to ensure compliance with:

  • The requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018
  • All health and safety and environmental legal requirements
  • Any health and safety and environmental requirements to which we subscribe.

Our Accreditations

Our safety performance has been recognised with a RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Gold Award in 2017 and each year since.

Our commitment to health and safety is further demonstrated by accreditation to SSiP organisations such as CHAS, SMAS and Constructionline.
